Why be Baptised with the Holy Spirit?
The Baptism with the Holy Spirit is very clearly explained in the Book of Acts.
It is so Clear in Acts that you would need an Agnostic Theologian to confuse you.
In Acts 1:3 ESV, “He presented Himself alive to them after His suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the Kingdom Of God”.

Notice what Jesus main Topic of priority was during the 40 Days after His Resurrection, the Kingdom Of God.
So we can see from this that the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit recorded in Acts was vital to the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth, in the nasty hear and now.
This is the reason that we need the Power of the Holy Spirit, because we cannot establish the Kingdom of God through logical reasoning, or polite apologetics, or acts of kindness alone.
Some Mainstream Religious Legalistic Institutions rarely discuss the Kingdom of God because they have become corrupted by the Political Correctness Agenda and have lost lost vital contact with the Holy Spirit.

Also during the Forty Days of his appearances to the Disciples and Apostles, his relatives and other Believers, He taught them to wait for the Promise of the Father.
Acts 1:4 ESV “And while staying with them He ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, which He said, ‘You heard from Me’.”
Notice that Jesus ORDERED them not to leave Jerusalem, it was not a nicely phrased suggestion, or an apology, and neither was it a democratically authorised vote.
Jesus did NOT say, ‘I realise this is going to put you out but can you pretty please stay in Jerusalem for a while, we could take a vote to see who wants to stay and who wants to go, after all I did tell you about this before, perhaps some of you could stay?’.
No, Jesus gave them a strict ORDER to stay in Jerusalem, with no options.
So, for Jesus to give such an ORDER it must have been of supreme importance.
Why did Jesus ORDER them to stay?
Acts 1:5 “For John Baptised with Water, but you will be Baptised with the Holy Spirit not many days from now”.
We can see from this that Jesus COMMANDED the Believers to be Baptised with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said, “You WILL BE Baptised with the Holy Spirit”.
Jesus did NOT say, ‘It’s up to you whether you want to be Baptised with the Holy Spirit or not. I realise this COMMAND contradicts the Theological understanding of some of you so you don’t need to do this. This is just for the Charismatic types who want to make a show, and the rest of you Religious Legalists can create an excuse and give it a miss.’
By Jesus clearly saying , “You will be Baptised with the Holy Spirit”, He was eliminating all opt outs.
Jesus was NOT giving the Believers a choice as to whether they wanted to be Baptised with the Holy Spirit or not.
This is why Jesus taught on the Kingdom of God for Forty Days, because he was establishing that the Kingdom was a Monarchy and not a democracy.
In a Monarchy the King’s Word is final authority, and there is no option to refute the Jurisdiction of the King’s instructions.
Those who deny that they need to be Baptised with the Holy Spirit today are not just expressing their opinion, they are denying the Authority of the direct Command of Jesus.
Other sceptical commentators say that this instruction from Jesus was just for the Apostles and Disciples, but no longer applies today, so can be substituted with Religious Legalism.
It is incredible and disgraceful that some Believers would be so gullible as to accept that his instruction from Jesus was only a limited offer, like a Special Voucher from a Fast Food outlet.
Did Jesus say, ‘Hurry up, I’m offering to Baptise you in the Holy Spirit, but this limited offer is only for an exclusive few and expires soon, so get it while you can’ ?
It is sickening and greatly disturbing to realise that large sections of Mainstream Religious Ritualism have swallowed this garbage, and rejected the Holy Spirit.
Would you like to be Baptised with the Holy Spirit?
