Claiming Your Rightful Inheritance In Christ

October 20, 2022

The opportunity for bickering and fighting amongst families becomes pronounced when the Will of a deceased person is read out before the family members who are present.

Sometimes certain members will become filled with indignation as they demand their rightful inheritance.

Yet, when it comes to our Inheritance in Christ Jesus, there is large scale indifference and apathy.

Why do most Believers not care about their Rightful Inheritance in Christ?

Firstly, most Believers have not been taught that there is any Inheritance in Christ Jesus that we should be claiming.

Paul describes our Inheritance in Christ in his Epistle to the Roman Church.

Romans 4:13a, AMP, “For the Promise to Abraham or his posterity, that he should Inherit the World,”

From this we can see that the Inheritance was Promised to Abraham, and that it included this World, not just the hereafter.

Notice Paul did NOT say, ‘the Promise to Abraham was that he would go to Heaven, and it did not apply to this world, so don’t get your hopes up for a better life, because we are Preaching a Pie in the Sky Gospel, so for now you are going to have to grin and bear it.’

We have to keep in mind that Paul was a Jewish Believer, and did not Believe the ‘Poverty is a Virtue’ deception that at a later time was inserted into the Roman Church.

If Paul were to Teach Believers today that the Promise to Abraham was that he would Inherit the World, he would be accused of Preaching a ‘Prosperity Gospel’.

Paul clarified that the Promise of Inheritance was to Abraham or his posterity.

In Christ Jesus, we are the posterity of Abraham.

The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to include Abraham’s posterity in the promise, to stop future Religious Hypocrites in our time saying that this Promise only applied to Abraham and not to Believers today.
