What is the Good News of the Gospel?

Paul explains in his Epistle to the Roman Church that the Good News of the Gospel explains how Faith makes us acceptable to God, not Rituals.

Romans 1:17, CEV, “The Good News of the Gospel tells how God accepts everyone who has Faith, but only those who have Faith. It is just as the Scriptures say, ‘The people God accepts because of their Faith will live.’ “

The shocking reality for Religious people is that it is possible to perform a Ritual with no Faith whatsoever.

The deception that Religious Formalism has held people in bondage under, is that the act of performing a prescribed Ritual will earn the participant Grace Points, that can be redeemed towards earning a Ticket to enter the Stairway to Heaven.

The reason many Religious people succumb to the Grace Points Frequent Flyer delusion is because it appeals to the unrepentant Ego.

The Unrepentant and Self Righteous Ego declares, ‘I’m going to earn enough Grace Points to buy a Ticket to the Stairway to Heaven.’

On the contrary the Gospel proclaims that We receive the Faith that pleases God by Grace from Jesus Christ, and there is nothing that we can do to earn our Salvation.

The Good News of the Gospel is that we are made acceptable to God by Faith, and that this Faith is available to everyone.

However, there is a Proviso with the Gospel, and that is that the Good News is only accessible to those who choose to have Faith.

If we stubbornly hold onto the idea that the Grace Points that we’ve earned on our Frequent Ritualist Flyer Card can be redeemed for a First Class Ticket Heaven, we will not experience God’s Salvation.

We asked the fictitious but eminent Agnostic Theological Professor, Hypo Critus PC, for his expert opinion.

Prof Hypo Critus PC, “Well I know that Paul taught Justification by Faith, but life is a lot more complicated than that, and we have to look at what Paul stated through the lense of Higher Criticism, which I admit is only written for the Woke elite, who are the only ones who can really understand HC, as it’s not for the average plebs. After all, if it was as simple as just having Faith to please God, that would render all our elaborate Rituals and Formalism and Prayer Beads and Mysticism and Occultism and Transcendental Magical Mystery Tour Meditation, as completely irrelevant and unnecessary, and that is obviously unacceptable and very threatening to the poorer structure of the Politically and HC Correct Religious Hierarchy.”

Sadly, many ‘Theological Professors’ today are prioritising acceptance by the PC Thought Police over acceptance by God through Faith, as proclaimed in the Good News of the Gospel.
