Faith Vs Ritualism – Why Not Working ? – 3

September 26, 2022

To Religious Legalists the idea of being Justified by Faith is almost impossible to comprehend, because it directly contradicts everything they believe is vital to the foundation of their Religion.

If we can be made in Right Standing with God by Faith as a Free Gift of Grace, then the argument that we need to use Prayer Beads, or Pray several times per day facing a certain direction, or spend several hours in Transcendental Meditation, or recite the Latin Liturgy, or wave the Magic Wand three times, or offer incense to five different statues of Gods or Idols, all becomes totally ridiculous and pointless.

Obviously, this is the reason that the Reformation created a huge wave of Religious opposition and persecution from all forms of Ritualism.

Paul makes this abundantly clear in his Epistle to the Roman Church.

Romans 4:5 AMP, “But to One who NOT WORKING by the Law, Trusts and Believes fully in Him..”

This Scripture shatters every delusion peddled by the Seventh Day Adventist and Jehovah Witness Cults.

Our Trust and Faith in Jesus Christ does not come from Working by the Law, but from the Grace of God.

This immediately removes a huge burden of Guilt and Condemnation from the Believer.

No matter what you do, you cannot earn the Faith that Justifies you.

The Self Righteous counter argument to this is that offering the Free Gift of Grace is giving people an excuse to Sin.

The Self Righteous oppose Grace because they cannot comprehend that it is a Free Gift, since they believe they must earn enough points to buy a Ticket to the Stairway to Heaven or Nirvana or to achieve Reincarnation.

Would you like to Receive the Free Gift of Right Standing with God?
