How Do We Receive The Holy Spirit?

In the Modern Western Mainstream Church the Holy Spirit has been replaced by Ritualism.

This Ritual Replacement Strategy of Religious Legalists is not a new idea.

Paul was constantly fighting against Religious Hypocrites who were trying to Substitute Rituals for the Holy Spirit.

In Paul’s Letter to the Turkish Believers in Galatia he addresses this Replacement Conflict in great detail.

Galatians 3:2, AMP, “Let me ask you this One Question: Did you Receive the Holy Spirit…”

If we can contrast this with what Question the majority of Western Bishops would ask, it would sound like this, “Let me ask you Ten Questions, Firstly , Have you performed Ritual A, Secondly , Are you regularly performing Ritual B, Thirdly , How are you going with Ritual C………….”

In the Mainstream Western Church we have become Ritual focused, and not Holy Spirit filled.

However, this does not apply to the Church in Africa which is rejecting Formalism in favour of the Holy Spirit.

Notice the One Question that Paul wanted to ask the Turkish Believers was about the Holy Spirit, this clearly shows where the priorities of his Apostolic Teaching were, and shows how far away the Western Mainstream Church has drifted from the Gospel.

Galatians 3:2, AMP, “Did you Receive the Holy Spirit as the result of obeying the Law and doing its works, or was it by hearing the Message of the Gospel and Believing it? Was it from observing a Law of Rituals or from a Message of Faith?”

Here Paul establishes with absolute Apostolic Authority that we do not Receive the Holy Spirit by “observing a Law of Rituals”, but by a “Message of Faith”.
