Grace Vs Theological Deception

Some Theologians and Sects today are Teaching Doctrines that directly oppose and contradict the Gospel of Grace.

It is very easy to identify these diversions from the Truth, because they always Teach a Belief System that is a Spiritual Point Scoring exercise.

The Apostle Peter discussed this in 2 Peter 3:15, AMP, referring to the Teaching of the Apostle Paul, “..just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the Wisdom given to him by God,”

This shows that Peter believed in and appreciated the Wisdom given to Paul by the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately some Sects think that they have independent Voting Rights to change the Pauline Revelation to ‘new insights’, that are exclusively available to Sect members.

These so called ‘new insights’ are really just Old Deceptions wrapped up in some form of Spiritual Legalism.

The Sects such as Seventh Day Adventism, Jehovahs Witnesses, Mormons, Christadelphians and Christian Science, try to undermine the Gospel of Grace.

This is done by adding specific Rituals that earn you Spiritual Brownie Points so that you can work your way to Heaven.

In the Services of the Sects the Bible is added to with the writings of the Cult Leaders.

The same thing was happening at the time of the Apostle Peter and the Apostle Paul.

2 Peter 3:16, AMP, “Speaking about these things as Paul does in all his Letters, in which there are some things which are difficult to understand,”

A lack of understanding of the Pauline Revelation leads some people to accept the Legalistic Ritualism of the Sects.

2 Peter 3:16, AMP, “which the untaught and unstable who have fallen into error, twist and misinterpret, just as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.”

Those who have not been taught the Pauline Revelation tend to become unstable spiritually, and then can fall into error.

The Gospel of Grace reveals the Unmerited Favour and Love of our Lord Jesus Christ for us.

We cannot earn the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, no matter how strictly we observe the Sabbath, or participate in the Sacraments, or handout the Sects Magazines, or perform Rituals in the Temple, or chant mantras during Transcendental Magical Meditation.

This is actually very easy to understand, but the Sects are very adept at trying confuse Believers with Formula based Dogma.

We asked our fictitious character Praeter Presbyter, “I must admit that I have difficulty understanding the free Gospel of Grace. I prefer to Believe that I am going to earn extra Grace Points each time I take part in one of the Sacraments. My Priest told me that if I keep taking the Sacraments I may eventually Score enough Grace Points to get to Heaven. But I didn’t like the ‘may get to Heaven’ clause, that’s placed a lot of doubt in my mind.”

The Apostle Peter continues, 2 Peter 3:17, AMP, “Therefore let me warn you Beloved, knowing these things beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men who distort doctrine, and fall from your own steadfastness of mind, knowledge, Truth and Faith”.

Believing Doctrines based on Spiritual Legalism leads to an unstable mind, because your Inner Critic is constantly pointing out your weaknesses.

Listening to our Inner Critic is the source of Self Condemnation, when we are removed from the Grace of Jesus.

Anyone who accepts the Legalistic Doctrine of the Cults is denying the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 3:18, AMP, “But grow Spiritually Mature in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,”

Notice Peter did NOT say, ‘Grow Spiritually Mature by earning Grace Points performing Rituals,’ or ‘Above all else keep the Sabbath and try to become perfect by being strict vegetarians,’ or ‘If you don’t attend the Kingdom Hall you aren’t going to Heaven’.

The only way we can grow Spiritually is through the Grace of Jesus and by our Revealed Knowledge of the Word of God, given to us by the Holy Spirit, and not by Ritualism.

The Apostle Peter concludes, 2 Peter 3:18 ,AMP, “To Him be Glory, Honour, Majesty, Splendor, both now and to the Day of Eternity. Amen”
