Why Receive the Promise by Faith
Many Believers today would not even know that there is a Promise mentioned in the New Covenant, let alone have Faith to receive the Promise.
Obviously, you have to know what the Promise is before you can believe to receive it.
But, the Religious Mind Game players have done a very good job covering up the Promise, so as to stop people receiving it.
Paul in his Letter to the Galatian Believers in Turkey, discusses this with no apologies for offending PC sensitivities.
Galatians 3:1 ESV, “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you?”
Picture a situation today where a Bible Teacher were to address a group of Believers in London in a similar manner,
“You British are a bunch of fools, you’ve had a Great foundation built by John and Charles Wesley with the tremendous Methodist movement and William Booth with the wonderful Salvation Army, and many more outstanding Saints of God, and now you are going back to worthless Catechisms based on silly Religious Games! Who has bewitched you ?”
Paul regards Playing Religious Games as the same thing as being bewitched or afflicted by witchcraft, or other occultism, resulting in being Cursed.
Paul is saying that it is the influence of the occult that draws believers back into the bondage of seeking justification by the ‘Three Steps to Enlightenment’ or the ‘Rules for Praying to Idols of the Catechism’.
Obviously Paul was not wanting to win the Theological Department’s latest PC Award .
Paul continues to the Galatians in Turkey, “It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as Crucified” 3:1-4 ESV
Paul is explaining here God’s Salvation Plan that required Jesus to be Crucified, as the once only Sacrifice for our Sins, and to provide the way of redemption through Faith in Jesus Christ.
Therefore, We cannot receive the Promise of Salvation by Playing any form of Religious Games, and this is Why it is only by Faith in Jesus that the Promise is freely available to us, No Strings Attached!
